Tambanum Village Ceramonial Childs Canoe

New Guinea Lower Sepik area Shaman's magic bag with stand. A very nicely woven bag with rodent and fish bones in it. Collected in the Angoram village in the 70's. Weaving is in excellent condition.

Ceremonial Atlatl collected in the Tambanum Village in the Middle Sepik region of New Guinea. Nicely carved piece made of hard wood. With the head of a parrot with an ornamental crest at the grooved end and the head of a lizard at the other end.

New Guinea Papuan Gulf ancestry gope board collected in the 70's in the Urama Islands. These are used to guard uninitiated boys. Beautifully carved and painted. Board is 44 inches long and 8 ½ inches wide. Perfect for a narrow wall space.

New GuineaSmall ceremonial toy garamut drum collected in the Angoram Village. Crocodile head carved at one end and a human head at the other. The piece is 18 inches long with a nice braided carrying handle.
