New Guinea Crocodile Prow
New Guinea Crocodile prow collected in the Middle Sepik region. 18 inches long 7 1/2 inches at the base. It comes with a stand. Canoes are basically dug out logs and many clans in the region carve the prow based on traditions of the region. Canoes last about 5-7 years abd when they wear out they are cut off and saved for collectors. Even the smallest childs canoes have carved prows.
