New Guinea Small Tribal Mask from Merik Lake Region
A very uniquely carved small mask collected in the Merik Lake Region. A lot of work has gone into this piece. Made of fairly hard wood it has nice circular engraved carvings on face and forehead. An extended carved piece from the top of the head to the nose where it attaches and extends again to the chin in an animal form.
